By His stripes, we are healed

Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation

A Catholic Franciscan missionary family dedicated to healing, accompaniment, Eucharistic devotion, formation, and the ministry of consolation.

Who We Are

Sent to console, called to serve.

To console the Heart of Christ by living the Gospel in the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare.

Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation is a Public Association of the Christian Faithful for Women in the Franciscan tradition. We are called to be living witnesses of Christ’s compassion, nourished by His abiding presence in the Eucharist, and sent to the poor, the forgotten, and the spiritually afflicted.

The community was founded in Katsina-Ala, Nigeria, in 2019 with the support of the late Bishop Peter I. Adoboh. Katsina-Ala remains the spiritual birthplace and seedbed of our mission of mercy.

Sister Felicia Agibi, General Servant

Sister Felicia Agibi’s quest for deeper union with Christ in holiness took her from serving dedicatedly for 32 years with the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus to discerning, listening, and responding generously to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit as founding servant of Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation.

Her passion is rooted in forming and nurturing indigenous sisters to serve among their own people and bring lasting healing to wounded communities.
